Storm of the Century II

A very generous Blacksburg resident has purchased coffee for the entire Town Public Works department.  If you are a Town employee who has been driving a plow, clearing public sidewalks, or otherwise helping keep Blacksburg running during another big stow storm, please stop by the Easy Chair any time after 9:00 AM Sunday January 31st and accept a small thank-you.  We know you hear all of the complaints.  We know you take pride in what you do.  This anonymous individual and the Easy Chair baristas just wanted to make sure you know we appreciate your hard work.

Roast Supreme

Using our signature roast profile for Brazil Alta Mogiana, the Easy Chair Coffee Shop and Nova Roast took the top prize at the Southeast Roasters Cult roast competition on January 24th.  We competed against 12 talented roasters from around the region and the coffees were cupped by over 30 coffee professionals.  We believed it was important to use our signature roast to take an honest assessment of our skills.  It is great to know that we are heading in the right direction!

Eddie From Ohio, Live at The Lyric

Time for another ticket giveaway!  The Easy Chair Coffee Shop will give away 2 tickets to the January 29 performance by Eddie From Ohio when Live at the Lyric group reaches 250 members!  This is a great way to keep up with the fantastic schedule of live events at Blacksburg’s Lyric Theatre.  Join the group and invite your friends because this show is selling fast!  Winner will be chosen randomly from the Live at the Lyric members on Monday, January 25th.
